The Christian counselling certificate program is a short introductory course for ministers to understand how to help someone in a time of crisis. The program is also valuable to those persons who desire understanding about ministry, what this entails, and how to prepare to take on a spiritual activity: for example, teaching a Sunday school class, a discussion group, witnessing, leading someone to Christ and so forth. The course will be of great value to those persons who seek an in-depth understanding of the Bible, and other important factors which make the Christian life an interesting experience.
This course is not an in-depth experience for students to identify themselves as counsellors. The counselling certificate will be extremely helpful since there are times when an individual is sought for guidance about a personal matter. It will be in those situations when some understanding for dealing with a crisis will be beneficial to make suggestions and to guide someone in the right direction.
Most importantly, in many instances, the individual may only need someone who will listen without blaming or acting surprise about the situation.

When there is a conflict, knowledge concerning the ability to apply the word of God confidently and appropriately will be an active armour to prevent disputes from advancing into destructive situations.
The minister who is equipped with biblical knowledge in building relations is in a favourable position to allay negative activities which would escalate a dispute. Students will learn how to communicate their concerns with the appropriate interpersonal skills for dealing with discords from a godly perspective.
This program has been specifically designed to help ministers become certified in the ministry.
The word teaches that we must be qualified in knowledge of the Word in order to help others. The program has also helped those who are ministers, but who do not have certification.
Consequently, the course applies to those who want to be acknowledged as true servants of God in response to 2 Timothy 2:15:
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
This course is not intended for students to identify themselves as qualified Christian educators.

Young Adult Ministry Certificate
The Youth Ministry Certificate program is prepared for those ministers who are called to teach the youth with skills such as leadership techniques, dealing with conflict situations, dating and relationships and other important factors which are vital to their development.
Students must be at least 25 years of age with adequate reasons for selecting this program, and who are working with teens and young adults in the church setting.
This program will be of immense value to those who are interested in promoting personal, spiritual, and practical growth for the youth.
